weird. Never had mine act like that. I don't know what would be resetting on it
[But. Huh. It sounds more technical than he usually sees from this place. Like a computer message. Like the weird machines Levi described about the bunker he'd explored. Or the bizarre visual glitches of the monsters around Rumpitur, so similar to how fucked the TV cable would get in a typhoon or something.
.... Weird. But-- she'd been doing her sentencing, right?]
Wait you just did that sentencing bullshit right? You think you gotta do it like three times?
[Dara...can't follow the logic jump, but the idea of doing more punishments throws her off course mentally that it doesn't really matter in the end. She scowls at his message in distaste before typing a reply.]
The punishment description said that I'd be a step closer to home if completed, so maybe? I just hope it's not something annoying like gaining followers in different cities. It's weird that they'd want me to start something like this before sending me away.
Anyways, I guess it's something to keep an eye out for.
I mean what's the other option, the world itself resetting?
[it sounds dumb to say... but then again...]
actually You know people said that before we showed up here there was some maze bullshit and a lot of things here were way different when they went in to when they came out
Could be something about this place changing over time.
It kinda reminds me of the last me here and the me here now. Like I got reset or something, too.
If this world or place was one complex illusion, then it makes sense that there is no spirit world. But then there's a lot of complicated things that I'd rather not think about.
Kotone told me that you knew someone other than her but not you being a different you? I know I'm a god, but this is just one big headache. This isn't within my range of knowledge. Especially if we're talking about alternate realities or something similar.
Her version of me was here a few months ago apparently. Knew her, lived on the farm, thenbjust went missing. Then I showed up, don't know a damn thing about her or this place, and half the people here already know who I am.
...I don't really like thinking about it that much. It's so damn weird.
[a bit of uncharacteristic honesty, sure. But she at least deserves to hear his thoughts about it.]
but who knows. I could be trying to find some kinda meaning where there isn't any. But talking about things reloading or resetting or whatever.... it makes me think of it.
That's very strange. [AND BECAUSE it makes no sense to her, she really doesn't know what else to say besides acknowledging it.]
How about we both pretend I didn't mention anything and we go on with our lives? Since it's not harming us, I think it's easier to play along. It's not like I knew the previous you anyways, so that doesn't matter to me. Better to not have an existential crisis, right? Been there, done that already.

If it was a message from someone, I can't find it again. Otherwise I could've showed you.
